Passavant Memorial Homes is currently seeking a responsible, caring, and dedicated person to fill the full-time Director Of Nursing position under the direct supervision of the PMH Vice President of Operations. The Director of Nursing position is responsible for the planning and implementation of standardized clinical services across agency programs in compliance with the appropriate regulations governing the operations of PMH. This position is responsible for the coordination of program supports, assistance & training of all PMH nursing staff, and monitoring for regulatory compliance and consumer satisfaction. The Director of Nursing position works cooperatively with program staff in all programs to assure quality services are delivered.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING:
- Provide clinical guidance and support to all nursing personnel.
- Responsible for coordinating and ensuring the training of all nursing personnel.
- Interview, hire, and provide orientation program for nursing personnel.
- Coordinate and develop standardized goals, policies and procedures for all nursing personnel.
- Participate as committee member of the Admission/Discharge, Quality Assurance, Risk Management and Fire and Safety Committees.
- Act as a liaison between outside agencies, families, counties, case-management, medical staff, related consultants in the community, as necessary.
- Ensure all necessary supports are in place to assist individuals in the completion of medical appointments as needed.
- Ensure that all individuals’ medical appointments are tracked by regional Triage Nurses to completion and the appropriate paperwork is filed.
- Ensure oversight by regional Triage Nurses of all individuals that are prescribed blood thinning medications, rescue medications, injections, and are on specialized diets.
- Ensure provision of personal care services in accordance with regulatory standards and agency policies.
- Oversee and complete Health Risk Screening Tool Clinical Reviews
- Serve as a back-up to the regional Triage Nurses, including on-call responsibilities during periods of Paid Time Off, leave, or in instances of an open position.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Clinical Services Director.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE DIRECTOR OF NURSING:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional registered nursing with a current license by examination from the State of Pennsylvania, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Five (5) years experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Three (3) years experience in the intellectual disabilities and autism and/or mental health field.
